PhD

Every year EUR MINT offers a 3-year support grant (possibly co-funded) for to 2 to 4 students starting a PhD in one of the teams related to MINT. PhD contracts usually start on October 1st.

MINT will also cover for registration fees at university and travel expenses for foreign students. Selected Phd students will also benefit from travel funding to attend conferences and other scientific events relevant for their research.

Eligibility criteria :


Those fellowships are open, on a competitive basis, to French and foreign students and awarded on the basis of the quality of the academic records.

The research areas should be developed within the activities of the Institut de Mathématiques de Toulouse (IMT).

The application call for the academic year 2024-2025 is now open.

Closing date: Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 10:00 pm (Paris time).

Successful applicants will be notified in April.

Required documents :

  • Applicant’s curriculum vitae

  • Details of grades obtained at university from the 1st year to present

  • Motivation letter from the applicant

  • Motivation letter from the supervisor or supervising team

  • Short description of the proposed Phd subject signed by the applicant and the applicant’s supervisor (2 pages max.)

  • Copy of the applicant’s passport or ID

  • When appropriate, a proposal for co-funding

IMPORTANT : The applicant is responsible for making sure his application is complete prior to the closing date. Please note that only fully completed applications will be examined.

Selection process :

  1. Shortlisting by the Ecole Doctorale Mathématiques Informatique Télécommunications de Toulouse (EDMITT) thematic commission

  2. The final selection will be performed by the EUR MINT Admission Committee
